Stunningly Beautiful Vineyard For Sale, Santa Cruz, Colchagua Valley, Chile

This stunning property of over 900 hectares includes 35 hectares of high quality vines which produce grapes sold mainly to Miguel Torres, one of Chile's most important and innovative vineyards. The property has a further 120 hectares+ that can be planted with vines, the remaining 700 hectares being hillside land covered with native forest. The property has sufficient water rights to irrigate the entire plantable land. The vineyard borders the world famous Apalta Valley and has similar soil and climactic conditions. It is in its own micro-valley and the potential to produce even higher quality grapes is obvious. The property has huge tourism potential and is extremely competitively priced given its beautiful natural setting and location in the renowned Colchagua Valley voted in 2005 by Wine Spectator as the world's finest vineyard region.
The property is also just 15 minutes from Santa Cruz, the heart of Chile's wine tourism industry. It is a quiet, peaceful town, similar to Sonoma in California and with obvious tourism potential. Several new, country-style boutique hotels have recently opened, along with some excellent restaurants. Tourism is increasing every year as is interest in owning second homes in the area. It is clear that land and property values will continue to increase in the area.

Large Scale Vineyard Investments In Chile

There are two major vineyard investments currently available in Chile. Both are valued in excess of us$75 million. One is located in the prestigious Colchagua Valley and one in the Maule Valley. Both are very well known, family owned brands and the sales will be for 100% of the shares of the companies.

The companies both own several hundred hectares of vineyard (some under certified organic production), high-tech wineries, country hotels, restaurants and residential real estate amongst other assets. They both export over 90% of the wine they produce.

Serious enquiries from qualified investors only, please. Arrangements can be made to visit the vineyards once investor credentials are established. These are major investments that would suit an established foreign winery that is interested in expanding into South America or a real estate investment trust looking at Chile.

Vineyard For Sale, Santa Cruz, Chile

Vineyard for sale, Chile

78 Hectares (187 Acres) of vineyard for sale 15 minutes from the centre of Santa Cruz.

This vineyard has 45 hectares (108 acres) of vines under cultivation, including 30 hectares of Chile’s famous Cabernet Sauvignon. There is also a warehouse with antique vats which, although no longer suitable for actually making wine, would make a fantastic tourist attraction. The vineyard needs some work to improve quality.

Price 12.5 million pesos/hectare (us$23,000/hectare).

Santa Cruz is a beautiful, quiet agricultural town with a nascent tourism industry with massive potential. It is similar to Sonoma in Napa Valley, California, just with a little less glitz. The landscape around is also strikingly similar to Napa Valley. New restaurants are opening and boutique country hotels are also being established by both Chilean and foreign investors. Over the next few years, it is highly likely that Santa Cruz will boom and land values will increase dramatically. Santa Cruz is just 2 and a quarter hours from Santiago by perfectly maintained motorways and country roads. The town has a new hospital, a large Lider supermarket and is considered one of the safest places to live in the region. Many of Chile’s finest red wines come from the area, including Wine Spectator’s wine of the year for 2008, the Clos Apalta.
